LONG BEACH people, PLEASE come in!

We're thinking of rather than taking a vacation, to just spend a few days in long beach. Therefore, can I pick your brains?

Can you recommend places to eat? All types of food and doesn't matter if it's lunch or dinner.

Can you recommend beaches to go to? Like, go to this beach between these streets, or something like that?

Also, if you are not a resident, what are the fees and parking issues to go to those beaches? Rules to follow? Since we're not staying at a hotel ,we won't have access that way.

Thank you so much for your help! We can't do a real vacation this year, but we're excited about this alternative.

Central Long Beach

Corbin & Reynolds
Nick D'Angelos-
Cafe Fratelli
Sutton Place
Duke Falcons
Angelfish
Nagahama
there are more trying to think of them off the top of my head..

West End

Saloon-outdoor seating
The Inn- outdoor seating
Caffe Laguna- limited outdoor seating
Minnesotas- outdoor seating
Baja- limited outdoor seating
Cabana- outdoor seating

beaches along boardwalk are good. I believe its $7 for a day pass.. streets National, Lincoln, Lafayette monroe.......
parking is a beatch although there isnt a charge.. in the west end its 2 hour parking on main strip...

Thank you so much for your help! We can't do a real vacation this year, but we're excited about this alternative.

Duke Falcons is great. It is right on East Park Ave

DIdnt Matteos open in Loing Beach too? That place is good also

and Matteos opened in the west end- on New York and Beech- I haven't been yet but it's good

and dont forget to hit Marvel for ice cream!

Now I really miss Long Beach. Waiting on a long line ice cream. I think I am going to have to go to Long Beach one day next wek for a LB fix. Beach, boardwalk adn Marvel

just ate at Matteos last night. It was very good!!!!!!!!!!!! thats in the beginning of the West End...

I live in the West End of Long Beach, and would recommend going there.

The great thing about the westend is everything is in walking distance. You can park your car within a block of the beach and still be only a block from all the great restaurants.

And the best part of the West End is that the beaches do not get as crowded as they do by the boardwalk.

but if you like to be near the boardwalk it is only a 5 minute or so walk east.

I live in oceanside, but we're always in long beach! There is a strip on park ave (right off long beach rd) that has Nagahama (our favorite sushi place) and Cold Stone for ice cream! We're there once a week. Chat Icon
