 Realtor Recommendations
We are going to be selling our 4 bedroom, 2 bath home in Coram and I am looking for realtor recommendations. We bought this home without a realtor so I have no experience with them. If you have someone that you used and loved could you please pass on their info.
If anyone is interested in buying the house let me know too. It is a great house with an income apartment. FM me for details.
  We are moving to GEORGIA!!

Thank you. Did you have her come to your house first and tell you what she thinks you should list it for. I am clueless about this process. Any info would be appreciated.

  Word!
Seriously, I have not used Christina for a realtor, but I do feel that I can vouch for her character. She is a bright, ambitious, caring woman and a true friend. She will not do you wrong!

 Re: Realtor Recommendations
We are currently in contract on a house in Coram. I would recommend Bill Chavis, from Remax Platinum in Selden. He knows the area well as he also sold my mother her house in Coram about 5 years ago.
  Cell: 516-635-0411 Office: 631) 736-0660 Website: http://www.reneeandbill.com/
Tell them Wil and Lynnette sent ya!

 Re: Realtor Recommendations
I would 100% recommend my realtor Joe from Horizion Realty in Patchogue, he has been nothing but a pleasure to deal with and has been upfront and honest about the whole process with us. We are currently using him to sell our house, we had a deferent realtor before him and had a nightmare. But Joe has totally changed my opinion about realtors, because he has been honest since the beginning.
His name is Joe Barone and he is the owner 631-687-3737

At this point I am really looking for tips on selecting a realtor and I think she might be a little biased.
Thanks though, I wil definitely keep her mind. She seems to come highly recommended.

 Re: Realtor Recommendations
I also def. recommend Christina - not only is she a great person but she also works for Prudential Douglas Elliman which is the largest real estate company on Long Island. By listing your home with Christina you will automatically have 67 other offices from Manhattan to Montauk who will also work hard to sell your property.
ETA - Congrats on moving to Georgia. What part?!

Thanks everyone, keep em comin! If anyone has any tips or questions that I should be asking please tell me. I am very overwhelmed right now.

These are some of the key points you should keep in mind, or questions you should be asking when selecting a realtor:
  1. Your realtor should do THEIR HOMEWORK, and provide you with a thorough Comparitive Market Analysis. This report consists of similar homes in your area that have recently sold, and are currently on the market, and will help you gauge what your home could potentially sell for. You can then determine the best pricing strategy for today's market.
  2. What kind of marketing does your firm provide? (i.e. Print advertising; which publications? how often?...Online advertising? how many websites? - 78% of homebuyers start their search on the internet, so exposure is KEY)
  3. Once your home has been placed on the market, will they conduct a "Broker's Open House"? This is crucial in introducing ALL other brokers to your property. (Every broker has their OWN buyers looking for a home)
  4. Will your realtor conduct Public Open Houses? How often?

  Hope that helps.

 Re: Realtor Recommendations
Thanks everyone for your recommendations. We told DH's family this weekend about the move and we are now being forced to use a realtor in the family. I am not happy about this at all. I do not think it is a good idea to mix family and money but like I said we were given no choice. I can not wait to get away from them.
