One of the kids involved in the Howard Beach attack was...
one of DH's former students. We were away this weekend so I haven't had time to post about it. The kid that hit the boy with the bat, Nicholas Minucci, that was his student. When DH saw his face on the front page he was like "oh my gosh he was one of my students"...DH said that he wasn't a bad kid when he had him as a student, just that he had that "I wanna be a mobster attitude" especially cuz he was friends with the gotti grandsons. DH remembers giving the class an assignment to write about someone they admire and nicholas minucci wrote about John Gotti...
I remember DH showing me that report and reading it to me.

Well I don't know considering that he is on probation for stabbing someone id have to say he was and is a bad kid!
And the gotti grandson are little douchbags who have no power.

What I don't understand is why the victim picked Howard Beach to start trouble in. Don't forget they did admit to having the intention of robbing cars...in Howard Beach? wrong move. However what Nicholas Minucci did was ten times worse. Well now he's in jail just like his mentor John Gotti was...

These kids are all apparently very welkl known around the neighborhood (oh the things you learn at the nail salon). I never hung out with neighborhood kids, so Im not in the loop as it were, but apparently all of these kids are very well known, and they're well known troublemakers, but also very rich and prominent families, however, somsone was saying they're selling T-shirts to "FREE" the kids, because they can't make bail or something?????

Interesting that no "tough guys" in the neighborhood are backing him...

I don't think he'll be charged with anything b/c his frineds are already setting it up that he didn't know they were out to steal a car (Umm..why did he THINK they were thee, then?), and now they're saying they changed their minds
