repro source labs? UPDATE! I AM GOING TO KILL SOMEONE!
first we were told to go to quest...they tell me they do not do SA anymore...then was told by ghi to go to labcorp....go today..they do not do SA anymore and do not take ghi either.....i want to kill someone today!
so now we r on to reprosource?
i was told they come to the house???
how does this work...he comes in and i sit on the couch with him while dh is in the bathroom??
i have never been so stressed about someone looking at my husband's junk!
so after all that and Dr.B's off ice tells me to call repro i get a call from Dr.B"s office saying i cannot use repro bc they do not do analysis either! they only do dna test!!!!!!
really ***** is gong on!!!!!!!!! why is this so hard...no pun intended lol
they told me to either go to grammercy office in the city or to a urologist!
why was this not said from the start!!!
does anyone have grammercy number or a urologist in queens for us to see!
i cannot believe i am desperate for someone to look at sperm

Shaun ended up not doing the SA... but it would have been with reprosource and no someone doesnt come to your house. They send the kit to your house, and you have to coordinate with them when Tommy will do it so they can send the Dry Ice.

I cant believe that you have to go thru all this just to get a SA...I wish GHI would get their stuff together and finally tell people where they can go to get a SA...if they cover it then they should be able to tell you where you can go and get one done.

Just an FYI..I was at Quest today and asked them about the SA issue. They said they stopped doing them because the drivers were not getting the samples to the required lab in time due to traffic and such and many Dr.'s were complaining. However, my technician told me that the Quest at 86th in Manhattan supposedly still does SA. I don't know if it's because the lab that does this is actually located there or nearby..but you might want to call this location and see if they still will do a SA.

Email Dr B and tell him whats going on. This is ridiculous.
BUT Repro must have just changed their policy. It was only September when they sent me the kit for Shaun.

did you try enzolabs? I think thats where we went, not labcorp.

Enzo in farmingdale does. I just made an apt. They cant be the only ones to do it!!!! I originally called another location last time and they directed me to a location who does them. There has to be one closer than Farmingdale to Queens.

It's where the general Enzo offices are too.
It's off rt. 110 right by a storage facility, Westie? The one with the white dog!
I would think you might have to call each location though.

I just looked it up. DH definitely went to Repro Lab in the city for his SA -

And they definitely do SAs. It's on their website - $125 for it. I'm confused why your dr is making this so complicated for you.

I have GHI and never had a problem with SA. Both REs I have been to did it in their office and when I originally had it done 3 years ago at Quest (my OB sent us there) my RE who I saw soon after automatically re-did the SA b/c apparently they use different equipment. I would try to go to who does SA for IVF or IUIs at your RE. Their equipment is usually better. Good Luck!!!

my RE does not do them and quest stopped this summer

thanks everyone...
i just wanted to add that Dr.B office told me reprosource does not do SA and maybe try a urologist..
so when i called the urologist they said to come in and then go to a lab ,i said what lab..she goes reprosource..i said my doc says they do not do SA...she says oh no all our patients use them
so who the f really knows...we r making the trip to farmingdale
