70th birthday help!
FIL is turning 70 in a few weeks and we have no plan. Please post ANY suggestion you might have. The more specific better! At a minimum we are a group of 6 adults but at most 20-ish if we had a party.
No vineyards or heading out East (we are doing that stuff this sunmet anyway)

I planned a surprise bday party for my dad for his 70th. We had about 20 people. I did it in a restaurant in Massapequa. My family and I organized the menu and got a few balloons and a cake.
Is a surprise party something you would consider?

It all depends on his likes and dislikes.
Themed party? At a restaurant or someones house as a backyard BBQ?
Does he have any hobbies you can incorporate?
A cool thing would be if he has any family or close friends he hasn't seen in years because of distance - maybe fly them here as a surprise. that's always fun. My mom went for her Sisters bday in Florida after not seeing her for a few years. They put her in a big box lol It was cute and my aunt was so happy.
