What does it mean when a store says "Preview day on Tuesday"?
So if a big department store is having a sale, I always hear about the preview day. What exactly goes on during this preview day? Is there signs that say "Tomorrow this will be 30% cheaper."?

Well, in Bloomies, for example, it's this stupid, stupid thing when you buy somethign for the sale price BUT can't take it home and have to leave it in the store and pick it up in a week or so...

I was at Macy's on Tuesday at the preview day and I got the sales price and was able to take it home the same day.

I was at Macy's on Tuesday at the preview day and I got the sales price and was able to take it home the same day.
So when they Macy's one day sale with a preview day Tuesday...it's really a 2 day sale? Then just call it a 2 day sale! lol

Yeah - I was unsure about it until I went this week. I was able to use the $10 off of $25 purchase and everything had the sales tags on them. After 1 pm the sale tags were being removed by the store clerks.

Yes - basically it's a 2 day sale. Never understood that either.

The preview day is the same sell as the next day, but you can go and beat the crowds the day before.

"preview" makes you feel like its a sale
tease or to make you feel special...
Then there will be a Saturday/Sunday sale!
