This is a potentially dangerous bill, be informed.
Think it doesn't apply to you?
It does.
How many times have you turned to the internet to get reviews on a product or company? That is being threatened. A company will be able to have a website shut down for criticizing it without review by claiming their copyright is being infringed upon.
Like to use Craigslist? Ebay? Amazon resellers? LIF Buy and Swap forum? All threatened by this bill. A company could decide that a website is infringing on it's copyrights and have even sites like LIF blown off the map for US users without review for claimed copyright infringement. Not even PROVEN, just claimed. Stores could have their payment processing shut down without explanation just by a copyright holder claiming that there is infringement. Don't like your competitor? Claim copyright infringement and have them shut down!
We would be redirected to "US Approved" websites. So much for sites like Yelp and Consumerist and other sites which criticize products. It requires search engines, payment processors and ISPs to REMOVE ACCESS from sites that companies like Disney, RIAA, MPAA have deemed to be "infringing" upon a copyrighted work.

This really scares me. This has potential to shut down sites like twitter or FB in times of heavy political climate ala Egypt! I'm so nervous our America is slowly losing freedom.
