7 weeks - what is going on?
When DD was born, she was a very sleepy baby for the first few weeks. We had to use a wet washcloth to wake her up for feedings, she wouldn't stay awake to eat, etc.
The past couple of weeks, she's been awake most of the day, barely napping at all, but still always pleasant and content, never fussy.
The past two days, she seems so unhappy. No pattern to her fussiness, just always whiny and crying, not finishing her bottles (unheard of in the past couple of weeks- actually was worried about overfeeding until now), sleeping so much again (not quite like when she was first born, but much more than recent).
What is going on? I even took her temperature because of the fussiness, poor appetite, and sleepiness, but her temp is fine. I can't figure out what's causing this dramatic change. She's always been pretty even tempered and content and now she just seems so unhappy. Any idea what's going on or anyone have a similar experience?

Mine was like yours early on. They change so fast. My only suggestion is to wait a few days and see what happens. Most likely it's just a weird phase she'ls going through and next week it will be something totally different! GL!

You should research "the wonder weeks". Sounds like she could just be going through a leap. My dd was the same way around that age and it lasted maybe a week or two. I was soooo happy when someone told me about the wonder weeks because I knew when to expect that she would be fussy and I felt much better going through it. http://www.thewonderweeks.com/

She just hit her "Six Week Crazies"!!! I tell all my friends about it. I don't know why it's not in all the baby books. I'm telling you, at 6 weeks (or 5, or 7) all babies go through a couple of days when they are CRAZY. If I recall correctly, it happens right around the time their vision sharpens. So they're seeing the world for the first time, and they're like, "Whoa. What IS this?!" Has your DD smiled at you yet? She will, any day now. 
(Mine had a day where she cried for like 8 hours. Wouldn't sleep, would stop crying to nurse for 10 minutes every now and then, but that's it. The car didn't work; the stroller didn't work for more than 5 minutes. It was my hardest day as a new mom. The next few days were bad, but not as bad, and then it stopped and she was her pleasant self again)

Thank you all so much. I just googled Wonder Weeks and it sounds like this is exactly what might be going on with her. It helps so much just having an explanation for it. Hope it ends soon!! Thanks!!
