7 week old refusing to BF

I have been EBF since he was born and now DS yesterday was refusing to nurse! Don't know if yesterday was just a bad day, but he was crying a lot, arching his back, turning his head and I had to give him a bottle (which he still doesn't know how to use since he only had a bottle twice before when he was just born!) just so he could drink! I tried to switch rooms thinking that a change of environment would help, which it did for 1 session, changed positions, etc. He would feed from 1breast but refuse the other, or just refuse and cry and cry and cry...he has no temp, no thrush, no cold, so I dunno what it could be.

Is he going thru a BF strike or something?! He sleeps about 6-7 hrs a night and drs said that was good because his weight gain was great and to enjoy the sleep...but I'm not enjoying what happened yesterday and am hoping for a better day today. This AM at 6 am, he only had a poopy diaper, no pee pee...and his last diaper change was at 10pm before he went to bed...that's a long time with no peepee...
Anyone go thru this? TIA

I remember DS having a really bad day of BFing when he was around 9 weeks.

I took off my shirt completely, stripped him down to his diaper, and just laid with him on my bed skin to skin. It relaxed him and I was able to get him to latch.

Remember, they can sense your emotions. So if you are nervous or frustrated, they sense it and it can affect his temperament.

DS goes through phases like this as well. Sometimes it's due to gas... laying down in that position is painful if they have a bubble in there. I burp him until he finally releases it and then he will latch. This doesn't happen all the time though. Sometimes he just flat out rejects it. When this happens I just pump and give him a bottle, but he is used to bottles since I exclusively pumped for the first 7 weeks or so due to latch issues.
