hiring help after delivery

I'm only few weeks, but already starting to worry about how I'm going to handle everything once the baby is here. I will be having a C/S , I already have a toddler and no help at all . DH will be home first 2 weeks and that's it. With my first C/S I was in so much pain for almost a month , I could barely move, I had a terrible, terrible recovery so I'm just scared....
So anyway we were thinking maybe hire a baby nurse or some kind of helper for at least a month after I deliver and after DH goes back to work.
I don't know what a baby nurse does exactly, but I don't really care about having anyone at night , just bc there is not much they can do since I hope I'll be BF , mostly I'll need someone during the day, to help me around the house, maybe even cook, clean up a bit, just take care of few things around the house and maybe run some errands like pick up few things from the store down the street .
So where do I look into this? Who do I look for? I don't want to use an agency since I can't afford to pay agency fees, so what's my best bet? What are my options?
Any info, advice would be nice

I used a Doula for labor and delivery with DS. She also does post partum doula work as well. She is amazing and I love her to pieces. She will do anything/everything you want...laundry, cooking, cleaning, feedings, diapers, entertaining your older DC, etc. Not sure what her rate is since I didn't use her for post partum. But I'd be happy to give you her info. She lives in Massapequa but travels all over LI, Queens, City, etc.

I would definitely ask your obgyn or neighbors. I am looking into this as well once I have #2. I just know how exhausting those first two months are and I don't care I will pay to get help so that I can at least take one big nap during the day.
