BREAKING NEWS: Hospital officials have announced that given recent eastward changes in the track of the storm, they have decided to evacuate Southside Hospital in Bay Shore. Beginning this afternoon, Southside's patients will be transferred and transported with appropriate clinical staff to other North Shore-LIJ hospitals and other facilities.

does anyone know where they go? I'm going to a different NSLIJ hospital tonight for a c/s - is it going to be mayhem?

I guess they are getting out people who can be transported now and would wait until you have given birth (hoping it's by tomorrow night)

they set up cafeterias and conference rooms for patients who do not require monitors of life support. they make it like a triage center.

I also heard from a "source" that a lot of nursing homes are evacuating to Nassau Col.

I was just in my OB's office and they were told SOuthside is going to Manhasset and Good Sam is going to StonyBrook......I think but I could have them revered.....but those are def the 2 hospitals that they will go to.
