Anyone have Emblem for Health Insurance?

Anyone have Emblem health coverage??

DH was given an enrollment form on Friday (as he left early so we could go away for the weekend) and was told to have it back by Monday.

His boss gave him nothing with it, so I know nothing about the plan....just wondering if anyone can give me some feedback. THANKS!

Re: Anyone have Emblem for Health Insurance?

WE have Emblem Health GHI. Coverage is ok, good amount of doctors, just none that we had used before. We have a family of 4, so we have an individual deductible of $2000 each, or a family max of $6000. Plus a 20 % coinsurance. They pay very little to the doctors.

I know that for the kids, it's great. No copays. as adults, we have $40 copays. What other specific questions do you have?

I didnt really have specific questions, his boss was trying to tell him it was comparable to the Empire BC/BS we were giving up. Just wanted to get some feedback from people who actually have it.

I just wrote a proposal for Skydive L.I for Emblem and it looked good from the point of no co-pays for the kids like you mention, however everything else looked sub par compared to Empire.

I have emblem ppo. It's great .1000$ hospitalization deductable and no coinsurence. No copays for kids visits and $30 for adults . I know they have a few different plans. Not sure which one you have.

We just switched to Emblem. Our coverage actually improved. I have no deductible for in network, $20 copay. Seems like all my Drs take it. Time will tell, but when I had Empire I didn't feel they were a prize.
