 Re: BJ's cakes
I've had a BJ's cake. It was very good.
I think it was like a sheet cake... or half a sheet. But when you go to buy it, it should say how many it feeds on it. I used to work in a bakery but that was SOOO long ago, I can't remember how many people half a sheet or a whole sheet cake feeds. I almost want to say half is about 25 pple and full is 50... but I could be 100% wrong.
I'm not sure about ordering them or just buying it and having them write on it. IDK how that works.

 Re: BJ's cakes
I think they are delicious. My parents get there for all of their parties. It is the only bakery cake that I love!

 Re: BJ's cakes
We get cakes from BJ's bakery often, they
are fresh moist and delish! and the icing is
not toooo sweet. 1/2 sheet (depending on
how big you cut the slices) can feed 40-50ppl
If you want custom decorations (dora bob
the builder dinosaur ect) you have to give
couple days notice BUT if you want they to
just write on one thats out of the case they
can do it right there and then like "Happy Birthday _____".

I always get my cakes from them. THey are so delicious, fresh and light. I get lots of compliments :)
They can tell you what size you need if you give them a headcount.

 Re: BJ's cakes
We ordered my FIL's retirement party cake at BJ's. We put two pictures on it and they decorated it really nice, and also it tasted really good too! best of all it was only $20 for a half a sheet cake! can't beat that.

 Re: BJ's cakes
Their cakes are great. I think some of them might even be labeled by how many people they feed, KWIM?

 Re: BJ's cakes
We always get our cakes there. They taste so good. We get the marble cake with chocolate filling. Delish!!!
Not sure how many exactly they feed. I know the largest sheet cake is HUGE and can feed a lot of people.
If you want a custom cake (something with a picture, or one of there decorations) you need to give them 48 hours I believe. They do have cakes readily available that are out and already somewhat decorated (butter cream flowers on it or colored boarders) you can asked them to write something on it.
They prices are great. The largest sheet cake is $30 I believe
ETA: THe order form they have has how many people each cake should fee.

 Re: BJ's cakes
Really good!! We used them for DS christening/1st birthday party last year.
We didn't have anything special on them - just picked up two cakes (1/2 sheets) and had them write on them right then. They had a couple of different designs (we got one with flowers and one with balloons) all ready there (we checked them out before so we knew what we'd want - and we didn't want to order ahead b/c I think we couldn't get the buttercream frosting - it'd have been whipped cream.)
We had over 70 people and we had quite a bit left over.

 Re: BJ's cakes
BJs cakes are soooo good!!!! I love them!!
You can either pre order them or get it then and there. If you pre order you can pick out a specific design. If you just walk in, you pick up a premade cake and have them write on it for you. There are different sizes but the big one can probably easily feed around 50 people.

 Re: BJ's cakes
Just had a 1/2 sheet cake for 40 people this past weekend from BJ's and I have so much leftover!! I think the smaller cake would have been just fine for us since we had other desserts as well. They do have character cakes you can choose from. I designed my own image (the fresh beat band for my daughter's birthday), had it made into an edible image off ebay, brought it to BJ's and they put it on for me and added decorations. They do print edible images there, but the printer at my location has been on the fritz so it was getting messed up when they tried.

 Re: BJ's cakes
We get our cakes from them-they can do a digital image and they are cheap ($20 for a 1/2 sheet, I think). Really good.
