Caramel bits vs Butterscotch chips
I'm attempting a recipe that calls for caramel bits....it's actually caramel covered marshmallows then dipped in chocolate.
Stop & Shop didn't have caramel bits, but had butterscotch chips.
Do you think this is a good substitute?
TIA!

I don't think it's the same but it might work out anyway. If you want to substitute, just get the regular caramel squares instead of the bits. I find the bits really hard to find but it's nice not having to unwrap the regular caramels.

for me caramel and butterscotch are nothing alike. I love caramel and gag at the thought of butterscotch. lol. So, my answer is no.
