6 week old wont go to sleep

So my dd is 6 weeks old today. She is really pleasant during the day, takes a few naps in her rock and play, etc. We are having the worst time with her at night. We start the bedtime routine around 9:30 (bath, books, massage, prayers) and then give her a bottle around 10 a.m. I am nursing her all day but I want her to have at least a bottle a day so she is used to them when I go back to work in a month. So at bedtime my husband gives her a bottle while I pump. She usually falls asleep after taking 3-4 ounces and lays on my husband for a good 20-30 minutes (she seems to have some acid reflux issues so the dr. rec holding her up after eating) She will seem to be completely passed out, we put her down and then she stays asleep for about 20 minutes but after 15-20 minutes she's up screaming. I try rocking her, giving her a pacifer and usually get her back to sleep but once again after putting her down - she's up about 10 minutes later. This whole thing goes on until 1-2 a.m. We usually end up giving her at least another bottle or I nurse her again at some point. It seems like by 2 a.m. she's just so tired that she stays asleep usually until about 6 a.m. when I nurse her again and then she sleeps until 8:30ish. I have a 19 month old as well who is up at 7:30 a.m. and my husband and I are both so exhausted. Getting her to stay alseep is taking hours. Last night I ended up nursing her at 1 a.m. and fell asleep with her in bed (which I really am not comfortable with) I woke up really upset and scared that she was in bed with us. I'm just so exhausted. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions to help keep this girl asleep?

Do you have her in the Rock and Play at night too, or just for naps? If she has reflux, lying her flat in the crib might be causing her some discomfort. I'd use the RNP for nighttime sleeping as well if you aren't already. Other than that, I am not sure of what else you can do besides just give it time. She is still very, very young and her sleeping will get better!

yes we use the rock and play at night too....thanks - im hoping as she gets older her slee will improve!

DD was like that.. getting her to sleep was the worst thing. It will pass.. at 16 months, I can't imagine those days but it will get better. She's just playing the part of newborn baby
Maybe you and your husband can take turns? Pump for a feeding and like him take a feeding so you can get some uninteruppted sleep.

We started to put DS in crib at 6 weeks. We played around with bottle versus nursing also so he gets use to both since I am going back to work. What I found so far that is useful is I change his diaper and make room dark. I then swaddle him. Then I nurse him while rocking him. We read a book and then slowly put him in his crib. I tried giving a bottle (of BM) during this time but he seemed hungry after so I tried nursing, he right away sucked but only for a minute. It seems that nursing actually soothed him. So I don't give a bottle at that feeding only nurse. The big thing I found was making room very dark so he can learn day versus night. During day I try to also follow a routine; eat--> play --> nap. I have some sleep handouts, FM if you want any of them or have any questions. My friend had used a sleep specialist because nighttime was bad for them and she was going back to work (that's where handouts are from.)
