I gave whatever he would eat. Some days it was one some was 1.5 And on the rare occasion he would eat 2. Go by their cues!!
Eta you can mix and match if you want

You can give more. I would start with just half of the second container.

Re: 6 month old, store bought food question
Mine split a fruit or veg and I mix in 4tbsp oatmeal. (to thicken it because otherwise its a total mess). But then they get a bottle. I wonder if I should feed them more food and no bottle because they love the food and want more.

Re: 6 month old, store bought food question
I would def give more if they are looking for more... sometimes my DS eats two jars, or i will give him one jar and a yogurt if he is really hungry.
ETA: For veggies I will add oatmeal to thicken it up a bit since they tend to be more runny/watery.

Store bought food!

DD was a light eater- and still is! She barely finished one. But if they are still hungry- you can give more than one. My ped always said- follow her cues- she will let you know if she is still hungry or full.

Bottle is more important, so always feed the BM/Formula first--and then solids a little while later. Food should not replace BM/Formula until 1.

I would mix cereal in with the fruit to fill them up more.
