6 month old belly sleeping
DS is 6 months old and for the past 2 days he has decided that he wants to sleep on his belly. He took a 2.5 hour nap this morning which he has never done! He had only been taking 30 minute naps till now. Do you think this is just a phase? I'm really hoping that he continues to nap so well.

Once DS started rolling onto his belly at 4 months it's the only way he would sleep. I would put him on his back and he rolled over ASAP.
There's really nothing you can do. He also started napping longer and really STTN. As long as he has good head control and can lift his head from one side to the other I think you're ok. Just let him roll himself.
11 months and I still do the same thing... put him down on his back and he rolls over right to his belly

Yeah I figured 6 months was ok to be sleeping on his belly. He is a very strong boy and I'm not nervous about it. And like you said, I can't control it. They do what they want to do! and I'm gald to hear that there is hope that this will stick! Longer naps would be soooo great

Same thing happened to my DD around that time - now she basically only sleeps on her tummy with her butt up in the air
