6 Mo Old Not Eating
I transitioned DD to formula about 2 weeks ago but I'm still nursing her as well. I've noticed she's not really eating much. It's hard to tell what she gets when I'm nursing but I'm giving her bottles of formula and she's only drinking like 3-4 ozs, but she has drunk more. She was at my parents earlier today for 5 hrs and my mom was only able to get her to eat 3 ozs.
I have no idea what's going on with her. I'm not sure if it's the formula and she's not used to it/doesn't like it. She was drinking 7 oz bottles of breastmilk last month! Is it teething pain maybe? She's shoving everything in her mouth and drooling like crazy (for a while now) but no teeth yet. She's even chewing on the bottle nipple. She also seems to be spitting up/puking more when she's nursing.
Anyone have any insight or been through something similar? I'm trying not to get too crazy over this but am starting to get pretty worried. Thanks.

How long have you noticed her.eating less? My D goes through phases of eating less (she still only takes 4.5oz bottles @ 7m) leaving an ounce in her bottle or not eating her solids. As long as shes happy & sleeping well, active & healthy I wouldn't worry.

Re: 6 Mo Old Not Eating
I definitely have noticed it the last few days. I'm not sure if I'm reading into it more because of putting her on the formula.
You make some good points - she's eating her solids, is active, plenty of pee and poop diapers. Don't even get me started on sleep! That's a whole other story.
It's just nerve racking because she's my first so it's hard not to worry. I wish I knew if there was an issue.
Thanks for the reply!

6 Mo Old Not Eating
My lo always eats less when he's teething. Once the tooth pops through, he's back to his old self.

6 Mo Old Not Eating
My ped just told us the other day not to worry if we notice DD eating less at times. He said the 1st 6 mos they grow so fast and then the next 6 mos they slow down, so it's not uncommon for them to eat less.

Typical. She's probably teething and starting to prefer solids.

Re: 6 Mo Old Not Eating
My 2nd DS was a the same way. When I BF I couldn't tell how much he was getting but when I switched to formula I noticed he was hardly eating. If you search my name you will see some of my posts. I was so worried and I had him at the doctor all the time for weight checks. I tried many different formulas and the one that worked best was Similac for Supplementation (the dark green color packaging). I really stressed so much about it and in hindsight I should have relaxed. As long as DD is peeing, pooping and gaining weight everything should be fine. Now at 9 months DS has just started taking 6 oz bottles. He will still not finish it all the time. I know it is stressful when they don't eat. She may just need time to adjust to the formula or she may have been a small eater when you were BF and you didn't even know it. My dr said that if DC starts acting strange, like lethargic, or not going to the bathroom then I should get concerned. I know how you feel!

Re: 6 Mo Old Not Eating
Thank you everyone! Your comments have been reassuring. She was drinking larger bottles of bm just a month ago, so I wouldn't have expected less but you've all given me things to think about that make sense.
