Getting a same day passport NYC
Has anyone ever done this? DH and I are going on a cruise and although we don't need our passport, we would like to get it. We should have done this earlier, but it slipped our minds. We are going to be in NYC tomorrow and was wondering if we should try to do it there.

You can definitely try if you are going to be in NYC anyway, but just so you know, it took me almost 4 months to get a passport this year.
They told me the NYC office is backlogged.
Also, if they can do it just be prepared to pay a pretty hefty rush fee.
So frustrating!

Hi,
I have the passport form and it states that you can have your passport expedited within 3 working days from receipt at a passport agency. Extra $60 total cost will be $157.00.
I live in CT, and we received our passport 16 days after we applied. The post office tells you that it will take about 6 weeks but I guess it depends on how busy the location is.

Yeah I think it's really expensive to rush it. I was going to get one, but I'm just going to wait. I'm using my birth cert and marriage license.

Yea, thanks ladies, I think we're going to stick w/ our BC and licenses. It's not worth it to spens all that money now. Oh well.
