Thats an adorable nursery! I bet you that bucket seat is going to be thrown out the window the first week the baby arrivesChat Icon She's going to need something way more comfortable for those late night feedings when you're almost passed out...also they're going to need more storage, not right away, but soon.

The mirror above the cribChat Icon That worries me.

Also, not sure about long drapes in a nursery. Once the baby starts to crawl she's going to want to pull on them.

I do like how they were economical in their choices (I think I did my twins nursery, including two cribs for about that price) but overall, not a fan of the design for a baby's room.

Re: Young House Love - Nursery Reveal - Lots of pics

i like it, just doesn't seem all that practical...

i know i'll be splurging on a huge comfy rocker/glider when it's my time....that round chair and ottoman are cute but do not look comfy at all...for feedings/reading/rocking to sleep i think a nice chair is worth the $$

i can't wait to decorate a nursery Chat Icon i'm just not ready for the being that will occupy it Chat Icon Chat Icon

It's def. not for everyone. I think it's cute and I loved how creative they were. And on the cheap too. Chat Icon But yes, that chair and ottoman I don't think is going to do it. But I guess they will live and learn that one for themselves. Chat Icon And yes they are in trouble when it comes to storage, especially for a girl that wants lots of clothes. Chat Icon

I think it's adorable! I love the colors - I love the color of the ceiling especially - I like the light fixture, their DIY mobile, the closet.... They probably have the mirror hung really well.

I had less storage than that when I was in my late teens, early 20s and I was fine so I don't agree with anyone about the storage situation. You make do with what you're given.

The only thing that made me cringe a bit was the fan on the changing table. That scared me... Chat Icon All I could think of was Cat's Eye - when the cat killed the troll by throwing him into the fan. Chat Icon Fans - bad for trolls, bad for baby fingers.

It's creative and a great use of the space. I don't love the colors, but pulled it together well.

The mirror above the bed, fan on the changing table and long drapes all made me cringe.

Chat Icon Thats exactly what I was thinking. I love everything about that room except the chair and ottoman(both for looks and comfort!)

I agree with this as well.
As far as the long drapes and the fan, I'm thinking they will hopefully changed it later when the baby gets older.

Me too. That doesn't look comfortable to me on an every day basis, let alone at 3am, after you've been up every 3 hours for the past 3 weeks, lol.

I also don't like the mirror above the crib. Maybe its me, but I'd never hang anything big and heavy like that above a crib.

Its cute though.

Re: Young House Love - Nursery Reveal - Lots of pics

The chair cost them $20 so they can always change it if they need something else. The nursery is not large (basically room is 8ft by 10ft) so maybe size was issue regarding the chair. We have a small nursery for the twins and there was no way we could have one of those upholstered glider type chairs, it would have taken up half the room.

I love the youngsters on younghouselove.com - they are so creative!

They will definitely need more storage - a bookcase at least, or shelving.
