baptism fashion Q...what would you do? UPDATE!!
I found a nice light heather grey dress to wear to the baptism (I cannot find a pic online!) and wanted to add a nice splash of colour with a cardigan of some sort.
what colour would you choose? what kind of accessories would you wear in the chosen colour? I was thinking a cardigan and a skinny belt in the colour and then black shoes???????
ugh, I wish I could find a picture. damn macy's suck website.
also, for nursing moms, how hard is it to nurse wearing a dress? the neckline isn't that low (I am going to church after all) so not sure I could pull off nursing him at all, let alone discreetly in public if I needed to...
blah. I may have to get separates...but the colour question would still apply (I'd just get heather suit separates)
TIA.
UPDATE:
now that I put you all through that I ended up getting a LOVELY navy blue Tahari skirt suit. I decided to just try some on and I found this one, in a size SMALLER than I thought I would be...it was the only one but I liked it so I said "what the hay". I tried it on with about 12 other suits and it was the best fit
oh, AND I got it for $210 LESS that the sticker price. it was $70 bucks!!!!
it has 3 quarter sleeves and I can definitely wear the jacket with jeans/other outfits and the skirt to work, or the suit to court if need be.
I bought an easter baskets worth of coloured (haha cranky...I've been reading euro lit! ) blouses to go with it...I may let dh chose.
now on to shoes (probably going to go for camel/gold) and accessories!

How about a coral or aqua?
ETA: I actually think nursing in a dress is pretty easy. I normally just pull one entire strap off and then nurse from that side (with my Hooter Hider)

Maybe Pink or white cardigan with silver or gray shoes. I would also consider pearl accessories. The black shoes would work with the white cardigan.

What about a cardigan in Turquoise?
was thinking turquoise but I always felt trashy in that color.

Re: baptism fashion Q...what would you do?
I would do a purple-ish color with that
Also you are being very British with your "colour"

Re: baptism fashion Q...what would you do?
I'd prob where a white card/belt bc I really like white and gry + it would look nice for a baptism.
It is not easy to nurse disretely in a dress, on easter I went into the ladies room to nusrse bc the way my dress was I was exposed. I would prob bring a bottle to the church and then excuse yourself the rest of the day or do the two piece. I guess it depends on the dress too!
Hth:)
