50th Wedding Anniversary ideas....Help
My parents will be married for 50 years next year. I want to have a GREAT party for them as they deserve it more then they even know.
Any ideas of a place to have it? Lets say about 120 people...my Family is HUGE.
My father is battling cancer now and we really are praying he wins but as the fight may continue we would want it close to home so I am looking more in the SUFFOLK area.

my parents' had their party at the Thatched cottage.
My sister and I got them a GC to the hotel that they stayed on their honeymoon (fairmont - so in many different cities)

We just had my parent's 50th party in December. We had it at a place in Roslyn, which is probably too far for you. I just wanted to say that my sibling and I tried to personalize the party as much as possible and it was a huge success. For table numbers we did different decades that they were married and a corresponding photo in a frame. We made a photo book of their 50 years together and had all the photos displayed on a projector. All the guest shared a memory they had of the couple on special cards that we put at each place setting, then turned into a book. We even made a cute quiz about them for the guest to answer. we just had our little guys christening at the fox hollow, and we paid 60pp, with tax and gratuity
kept a limited menu, with beer wine soda
we had 125 people and it was the perfect place
