Please help with a trip to LA
So we're going on a cruise out of LA but would like to go a couple days early to see LA/Disneyland. I've never been to LA or California so I'm pretty lost. What sights are a must see? What hotels would you recommend? (that aren't a fortune to stay in) How far are the sights from the airports, hotels and from disneyland?

Re: Please help with a trip to LA
Everything in LA is really far apart. Disneyland isn't even in LA county, its located in Anheim which is in Orange county. It's one of the drawbacks of visiting here. My friends came from Wales and actually took a bus from her in Redondo Beach to Disney- it took them hours! But they didn't realize. I felt so bad. Definately do your research and decide what you want to do. I would stay near Disneyland if that is your intention on what you want to see and you only have a couple of days. There is also Knott's Berry Farm nearby(which I prefer).
Please feel free to FM me- I live in LA.

Re: Please help with a trip to LA
I'm a former Angelino I agree with what was said... I'd plan out what to do and stay close to where you'll be the most. How far everything is is...far lol Traffic IS as bad as you've heard
Other than Disneyland, I love the beach (Venice for the sights as well as Santa Monica, Huntington for swimming), the Hollywood thing, The Getty Center, the Huntington Gardens, Griffith Park has a lot of outdoors stuff, studio tours, there's tons of shopping - like Rodeo drive or just great malls.
There really is a ton of stuff to do... just depends on your interests!!
