when is this movie coming out? Are you planning on seeing it?
I never actually read the book so not sure if I should see the movie but everyone keeps talking about it lol

I hardly ever read the book before a movie.
I just saw Gone Girl last week but didn't read the book.
I just happened to read 50 shades because everyone was talking about it. If it's a storyline you're interested in. Definitely read them.
But I don't think you would be lost if you didn't.

I am planning to see it, but not opening weekend, it will be a zoo. I read the books. I liked the first 2, did not like the last one, but at least there was closure.
ETA: I would read the books beforehand. I am sure there is going to be a lot that they won't/can't cover in the movie and I can see the potential for someone to feel a little lost

I read the books - I'll see the movie ..........but as a girls night kind of thing after it's been out a few weeks. I don't have high expectations .....
The books were HORRIBLY written, but entertaining - I'm expecting the movie to be exceptionally cheesy - but fun

Same except I actually have some hope for the movie; the director is highly respected and is an accomplished visual artist so there is that...
