5 year old and 6 year old girls
I have both... and birthdays are coming. I feel like all our toys are geared for 3 and under...
What are your daughter's favorite toys? Please let me know if it's a 5 year old or 6 year old. I feel like all my kids do is watch TV and fight over the occassional toy that interests them for 20 seconds.
We have no kids on the block to play with. I would like to offer play dates to my kids friends but I feel like the other kid would be totally bored here, I basically have no backyard to play in this year either. So play date activities are helpful too for these ages.

Re: 5 year old and 6 year old girls
I have a 6 year old DD. She is currently playing with the disney princess clip dolls. and of course Frozen dolls. she loves arts and crafts. I recently got this wood castle from Michaels and we spray painted it together I got her some paints and she did some decorating. she has her clip dolls living in it.

Re: 5 year old and 6 year old girls
My girls are 8 and 6, almost 7. As for toys, my younger one loves My Little Pony and her Frozen dolls and figures.
As for playing together--and they've been like this for years--they put on shows. Really elaborate ones sometimes with props, costumes, plots, singing, and dancing. They also like crafts. We also have a kids' karaoke machine they love. And more recently, love playing with their American Girl dolls together.

Re: 5 year old and 6 year old girls
My 6 going on 7 year old and my other one is 4 turning 5.
Both love Legos especially the friends ones. There is a new line of Princess ones like the friends. There are brave, tangled, Cinderella etc.
Both girls like marble runs. My 1st grader does them at school. I found a fun one that is like a cross between Legos and a marble run. You can build anything then drop marbles in.
My girls still like wooden blocks. Architecture ones, keva blocks. They build bridges, towns and castles for their small princess and fairy disney figure sets.
Anything arts and craft related.
Games, sorry, trouble etc.
Wii- anything dance related (just dance ones - they also have disney and kid ones too), infinity esp frozen figures, toy story mania game, any of the sports esp tennis and rowing.
Monster high dolls
American girl dolls
Anything frozen related or fairies.
Books

Re: 5 year old and 6 year old girls
Some of these are really great. Marble runs sound interesting and my 6 year old loves building and puzzles. We can't afford American girl dolls but maybe next year my mom said she may try to get one for the older one. Neither really play with dolls. I have way too many stuffed animals and wish I could throw most of them away but they insist in keeping them. I should see about more legos for my older one. Frozen would be a big hit but a little too expensive. I guess once the hype dies down so will the prices so I will hold out.

DD is 4 1/2 and DS is 6 1/2. My DD plays with a lot of her older brothers toys and many of these are shared toys:
Legos (DD likes lego friends, lego princess, and generic legos) Monopoly Cranium Perplexus Twister Rush Hour and Rush Hour Jr Cranium Caraboo Cootie Bugs Don't Break the Ice Apples to Apples Jr.
DD still plays with her doll house too. DD likes American Girl dolls and playing tea party with the dolls.
They both like out door toys like: scooters bikes balls (the huge 2.99 ball in the bin from Target is a huge hit)
Art supplies (canvas, water color paper, paints, creypas, clay, beads, puffy paint, glitter paint)
Science Kits Gardening tools
