5 Myths about Planned Parenthood
Interesting article in the Washington Post that a friend sent me. With everything going on in congress right now concerning funding for them, thought some people here may be interested in reading it.

Thank you so much for posting this. 
This is the part of the issue that grinds my gears the most : Contraception prevents the need for abortions, but most politicians who oppose abortion do not support birth control, either.
The same people who oppose abortions ALSO oppose sex education and contraception. It makes me crazy.
NO ONE is PRO abortion. Some are PRO choice.
I respect and fully understand why someone is pro life.
I do not understand how anyone can stand for not supporting sex ed and not support birth control.

I know people who oppose both birth control and abortion on religious grounds, but that's personal choice. Religious morality shouldn't dictate legislation, which is one of the major flaws in the pro-life as law argument. A PERSON can be pro-life, but the law has to be pro-choice constitutionally.

Just want to add that it IS possible to be anti-abortion and pro-contraception. Which is what i am...I am VERY MUCH pro sex education and pro contraception awareness..anything that brings down the rate of abortion is awesome..but i do understand that for many, they are anti-abortion and anti-contraception. Which makes no sense to me.
