It's time for veggies! If you didn't buy the store bought jars, how did you prepare yours? Which brand did you buy? How did you store them? How did you freeze them?

I steamed fresh veggies and then pureed. Some I kept fresh in OXO containers, the other I froze in glass containers.

I used to steam the veggies and then purée them in a food processor. I would freeze in ice cube trays and then sort into individual ziplock bags with the amount of cubes she would eat for a meal. So it was easy to just put the bag in the fridge to night before to defrost.

Wholesomebabyfood.com is a great resource. Tells which are good first foods anna how to prepare each. Some things I roasted like squash and sweet potatoes, others I steamed like carrots, peaches, pears. Avocado and banana just get mashed and given fresh. Peas and green beans I usually bought the frozen microwaveable bags and then pureed.
Most things I froze in ice cube trays and then transferred to ziplocs.
