4g/5g gene
Have any of you been diagnosed with the 4g/5g gene? I was pregnant this summer, was not successful, but bloodwork done by perinatologist during pregnancy showed I had this gene. I did not follow up with that doctor at that time (too overwhelmed), but am going back to see him this week.
Does anyone know about this? Not much out there, and Dr. Google scares me. What questions should I ask, if you know?
I am currently on: prenatals clomid (100 mg) l-methyl-b6-b12 progesterone (200 mg) metformin baby aspirin

Re: 4g/5g gene
I have this among other things... I don't really know much about it specifically, never googled, never really asked.. I figured I made it this far and never had a clot. I just know that if ever pregnant, I need to be on lovenox. However like I said, I have a slue of other stuff too, so I'm not sure if I would be on lovenox if JUST for that. Good luck!

i have this too. i was also on lovenox my whole pregnancy but also for other reasons in addition to 4g/5g polymorphism. i personally believe clotting and immune issues all play major roles in successful embryo implantation. issues that occur during this critical time can cause a huge array of issues from early miscarriage (chemical) to pre-term labor to third trimester complications. have you had throughout immune and HLA testing done by a reproductive specialist?

I don't know what HLA is? I see Dr.Kofinas, he is a perinatologist. i had to get 43 vials of blood drawn, it was insane. I know he did a tin of testing, but I am not sure what...

I would trust whatever protocol he gives you. Dr.Kofinas is the best of the best...
