 | When did your child start sleeping through the night? Ryan is 2 months old & sleeps about 7-8 hrs. straight through at night... he goes to bed around 8-9 and dosent get up until about 4......Im thrilled with this...but cant help but think this is gonna be his routine for awhile....I cant see him going anylonger without eating....
I thought about putting him to bed later...but sometimes its hard for him to even make it til 8....

What age did your child start sleeping through the night..and what were the patterns before he/she got there..???

 | Re: When did your child start sleeping through the night? Alex was sleeping through the night from about 10pm to 6am at around 10 weeks old and from there it got longer and longer. I would say by 14 or 15 weeks he was sleeping from 8-9 to 6. I found that once I started feeding him cereal with a spoon he started sleeping 10 hours or so a night. |

 | Re: When did your child start sleeping through the night? We have been very lucky with our Jacob... He loves to sleep. We maybe only had 1 or 2 weeks of getting up in the middle of the night. By 4 weeks he was sleeping from 11-5-6, then at since he was 7 weeks he has been sleeping from 11-7, and for the past 2 weeks 9 he is (14 weeks) he is now sleeping 8-7...
 I really can't complain...

I am not even feeding cereal yet and he is now eating 4 times a day -7, 11, 3, 7 eating 8oz of formula...

 | Re: When did your child start sleeping through the night? Luke started to sleep through the night at about 5 weeks (11PM-7AM) and then that changed after daylight saving to 10PM-7AM. There are plenty of days he sleeps past 7 and regardless of when he wakes up he always goes back to sleep after his bottle for about 2 more hours.
Before this, he always woke up at 3 AM and 6AM for feedings.

 | Re: When did your child start sleeping through the night? Emily has pretty much only slept through the night twice -- those two freak nights when Bill was in the hospital. I swear he probably thinks it's his fault that she wakes up now because as soon as he came home she started waking up again.
In fact yesterday she had a very cranky day and didn't sleep at all! She ended up being awake straight through until 4am last night.

I'd love a "sleep through the night" schedule but I just don't think it's going to happen yet.

 | Re: When did your child start sleeping through the night? Talia started taking only one feeding a night at 2.5 weeks then slept through the night at 5.5 weeks. She usually sleeps 8 hours a night.
The past few nights she has been up once or twice - I think her stuffy nose is waking her.

 | Re: When did your child start sleeping through the night? Wow, I am shocked. I expected a lot fewer babies sleeping through the night.
My daughter went to one middle of the night feeding around 6 weeks. Her length of time sleeping has lengthened, but she still eats once per night at 8 months. Usual schedule is 6:30 pm bed time, 2:00 am feeding, 5:45 am wake up for day.

HAve you tried a humidifier? They work wonders for stuffy noses. We keep it on every night all winter long. The white noise is great too!
