 CIO Moms...I have a question
Do you find that your child sleeps better if they fall asleep one way or the other...for example, when Noah falls asleep with us rocking him, he tends to wake up soon after he falls asleep or in the night. BUT if he cries himself to sleep, he sleeps good and hard all night.
I am wondering if this is a fluke or if anyone else notices it.

Re: CIO Moms...I have a question
Same thing here-
However now- we just put him in awake at "bedtime" and he just goes to sleep- no rocking or crying...."

But, I have to say- when he did CIO to go to sleep- those are the nights he slept best...
where as night we rocked him, or laid with him on the couch- he woke much more frequently

Re: CIO Moms...I have a question
Bumping this...
Last night the little bugger went down to sleep at around 8ish and slept straight through to 8.30 this morning...so I reckon that he does sleep much better when we do CIO...
  They are strange creatures babies!!!

Re: CIO Moms...I have a question
We're finding the same thing with the naps anyway. She's awake as soon as we lay her down (like 15-20 min) if we've rocked her to sleep. However, if we let her fuss a bit on her own she'll sleep for an hour or two.

Re: CIO Moms...I have a question
How long do they cry for before they settle down to go to sleep...

Re: CIO Moms...I have a question
Noah can cry for up to 20 minutes, I go in after 5, then 10 minutes..its not a hysterical crying, is a "why did you leave me here" crying.
I don't know about a paci, my son never took one!

Re: CIO Moms...I have a question
yup- Talia goes to bed without any crying - but if she wakes at night and goes back to sleep on her own she always sleeps better than when we need to get involved.
