Important announcement at work-UPDATE
We go this email saying to call at 11am for a conference call about an important annoucement... what in the world could this be about?
Someone was telling me she thinks its because they are going to move our division out of NYC.... I really hope thats not it because then I will be out of a job! I am a little nervous.
UPDATE: so the announcement was that they are merging two divisions of the company into one.
We don't know yet what this means - we are having a meeting with our department manager at 12:30... but they said that they will figure out all the details within the next 4-6 weeks. They said most peope will stay doing what they are doing in the same place, but some departments will move, and some will be laid off.
I guess I will find out more in the next few weeks!

When that happened at my job it was just to tell us the CFO was retiring. We got all worked up over nothing at all. Hopefully it will be good news for you.
