 | Anyone have their child watched by another mother in their home? Just wondering what the costs of this might be. I know some mom's in my neighborhood run day cares in their houses and watch kids...does anyone do this with their child?? If so could you share with me how much you pay her??
 THanks

 | Re: Anyone have their child watched by another mother in their home? My cousin watches my daughter on Fridays along with a couple of other kids. I pay her $6/hr, but that's probably a "family" discount. My mom does this out of her home and she charges something similar and from what I understand, that's VERY cheap. A friend of mine takes her daughter to a local woman who charges $10/hr. | | Posted 3/22/06 4:14 PM |

 | Re: Anyone have their child watched by another mother in their home? We were going to use one of our neighbors. We chewed her down to $250/wk but in the end we decided to go with my Dad & his GF who also do in-home daycare.
I think that in-home care can be the best of both worlds (sometimes)...you get the homey environment, better price than having a nanny, and your child gets to socialize. Less getting sick than typical daycare. But there are also cons, as with any situation...
