how much do you pay for child care each month?
I now work part time and I love it. I love knowing that I will be home atleast part time with my children and since I only work 4 afternoons a week, I am able to have my mother and MIL watch the baby for those few hours in between when I go to work and DH gets home from work. The only problem is DH's job doesn't cover health insurace for spouse or children. It's going to cost us probably around $800 a month for a family plan. So recently DH mentioned maybe I should look into going back to work full time just for the benefits- Um, I don't think so. Either he's going to have to get a new job with better benefits or we're going to have to pay the $800 a month.
I'm trying to prove a point to him that day care will cost us more than the health insurance so he can drop the idea of me going back to work full time. And did I mention that I barely make less than I did at my full time job?

It gets less expensive as they get older. For a pre-school & toddler full time, I pay $487.50/week.

I went to a daycare open house last weekend and most centers were charging $1200-$1300 or so monthly for five full days per week.

I will be paying 580 a month for full time day care The woman is a friend of the family so she is charging us less then the regualr price but the regular price would be 700 a month for full time day care
