Yes, I've heard of this happening before. My mother had a friend that didn't know she was pregnant for three months, because she had her regular period for two of those months.

I have a freind who had her period for 4 months before she realized she was pregnant But it was really light compared to usual.

I work with someone who didnt know they were pregnant until they were in labor.... one friday she was there...on Monday she called in sick saying she had a baby over the weekend... she got her period the whole entire time...
When I was younger I use to baby sit for a woman who got her period for the first 7 months of her pregnancy...apparently this is more common than we think...
