First b-day party Yes, I am completely crazy and already thinking about Joseph's 1st b-day. We're going to have it at our house in September. I'm looking for some really creative, fun things to do...either w/ favors or decorations or just activities w/ the kids. Any suggestions?

| Re: First b-day party Hey birthday twin! We're doing it at our house too. We have a park in our development right next to our house so depending on how many people we have I may end up doing it there.I was thinking of doing a Baby Einstein theme but it's not very girly but she loves Einstein.
We may also have a jumping castle (friend's of ours have one) and I was thinking of maybe a clown or some kind of entertainment. Most of our friends have 2 kids already so the older kids are 2-4 years old.
Of course I haven't priced any of this yet so who knows.

I'm not sure we're even going to make a huge deal of it....family only maybe.

I plan on having a cotton candy machine (had it @ the christening and it was such a hit) and maybe a snow cone machine....

Re: First b-day party I've been thinking about it for while too. We actually decided we were going to FL to celebrate at my Mom's house a long time ago. But not too many details yet...I want to hire a character but I don't know which one yet. I have to wait and see what Jake develops a preference for. Maybe some face painting too for the other kids.

Re: First b-day party It's going to be low-key w/ us too...family and friends. We're doing a Nascar/racecar theme. Marissa - where'd you get the cotton candy machine? That's interesting! (can they have cotton candy @ 1??? ) And I want the people that do the balloon thingy's. Keep the ideas coming!

Re: First b-day party Julia will be one in July, so I've been planning her's already. I'm having it at my parents house cause they have a huge backyard and a built in pool, so everyone can bring there swimsuits. I'm having pony rides, and a castle blow up bouncer (forgot what they are called) we are having it catered to. Julia has a lot of cousins so I had to make sure they all will be happy at the party.

My mom use to have the pony rides for my brothers b-days when they were little, and my cousins had it for there parties also, so I thought it would be a fun idea!

Well, Jake & Julia's b-days are on the same day so we'll be in FL celebrating, otherwise I'd so be there!

I love that idea...maybe I'll look into it for Jake's party.
