I am such a Happy Homemaker today!!
I was bored so I started cooking things I haven't had in a while. I made rice balls, now I am on to sweet and sour meatballs and then sausage bread!! Good thing, it can all be frozen so I have food for a while!!
  Ever have happy homemaker days??

Re: I am such a Happy Homemaker today!!
Here is my grandmas recipe All depends on how much ya make but here is what I made today and I will get about 12 baseball sized rice balls.
3 cups of cooked rice 3 eggs 1 can of tomato sauce parmesean cheese salt mozzarella cheese fresh parsley
Cook rice, put in fridge till cooled. Add 2 eggs, a can of tomato sauce, a little bit of mozzarella cheese and a little bit of parmesean cheese, tablespoon of cut up parsley and about a half teaspoon of salt. Mix everything together well with hands. Refridgerate
  Meat filling:
1 pound of ground beef 1/2 can of tomato sauce 2 stalks of celery 1 medium onion salt pepper butter
Put butter in pan, let melt a bit and add finely chopped celery and onion. Let simmer for a few minutes and add ground beef. Brown beef and add salt and pepper and then 1/2 can of tomato sauce. Ok, thats done.
Now, take a handful of rice in your hand, roll it into a ball, make an indent with the back of a spoon and put some meat mixture into the hole. Take a little more rice and cover the top and roll into a ball. Take 1 egg and beat well, roll the rice ball into the egg and then in italian bread crumbs. Fry in deep fryer or on stove with oil until golden brown. Enjoy!!

Re: I am such a Happy Homemaker today!!
That was my day yesterday too!
I cleaned the refrigerator top to bottom (thankfully the shelves pop right out). I made brownies, a 2 tier birthday cake chicken & stuffing bake with veggies, roast pork in gravy with noodles, baked ziti and sausage. The brownies and chicken dish were for my brother and his family since he had minor surgery this week. The b'day cake and ziti w/sausage were for dinner for my best friend. We ate here and played Scene It all night
