Eagle Estates/Medford HELP!!
Can anyone give me feedback on that neighborhood? Any concerns, good things..etc
we are looking seriously at a house there now and need back up info.

I've always heard it referred to as "Illegal Mistakes". My Dad worked in the area for LIPA and said it isn't a good neighborhood.

I'm pretty sure there are a few LIFers that live there. I don't live there but I like all of the newer shopping areas around there!

my husband lived there about 12 years ago and he said it was pure hell. My brother who is a police officer still says NEVER go near that area. But many other areas of Medford have changed significantly. My uncle lives in a development of town houses that are AMAZING.

We have family there and they say it is a pretty bad neighborhood. Lots of police activity, lots of drugs etc. They want OUT!

The area is sketchy but changing. I think back in 2004-05 a lot of young families were buying in there and it was slowly starting to change, but with the downward spiral of the economy I don't know if that is still the case. I would try to avoid it if possible-- there are MUCH nicer areas of Medford.

I've been in Eagle Estates for a little over 9 years now and have not had one problem at all. I actually live right on Eagle Ave. I know the estates is pretty big, but all has been pretty quiet by me. You can FM me if you have any other questions.

ITA. Some of DH's family used to live there and they would usually have a crazy story every other week about something happening in there.

My inlaws live on Eagle Ave of over 30 years, only had one incident maybe 15 years ago, but I never hear of any issues.
I've lived in Pat-Med all my life before marriage, and while I wasn't in Eagle Estates, I would't consider it that bad.
