Question about travel system vs. Stroller
I got the Grace Quattro Tour system but haven't opened it and after reading Shana's thread I am worried I am going to hate it.

Here's my question before I open it. If you get just a stroller how does that work with an infant seat. Can you put and infant straight into the stroller without the infant seat?
I'm confused but don't want to open the box unless I am sure I am going to like it.

Re: Question about travel system vs. Stroller
We just went through this in the store.
I think for the car seat to snap into a stroller you need a totally separate base, it won't just go into the regualr stroller.
They sell a universal snap and go base.

Re: Question about travel system vs. Stroller
you would need to get a seperate infant car seat to use..you can also get one of these to put the infant seat into before its time for the stroller Image Attachment(s):

Re: Question about travel system vs. Stroller
The system didn't come with the infant car seat? My Graco travel system came with the car seat. You can't put the baby in the stroller without the car seat until the baby is over 20 lbs.

Re: Question about travel system vs. Stroller
I just went through this too...I registered for the Graco Travel System and read reviews that they are big, heavy and bulky. Instead, I now am registered for the Universal Snap & Go by Baby Trend...the Graco Snug Ride car seat snaps right into it.
I am also registered for a Combi Savvy stroller for when the baby is a bit older.

No it came with both. I am just debating if I want to keep the travel system or not. Ahhh decisions. decisions!! Have you used yours yet? Do you find it too heavy?

Re: Question about travel system vs. Stroller
I think that we're going to hear many mixed things about the travel systems...what's good for one may not be good for another. I just figured that I would skip the travel system because my baby will be born in November...not really going to take the baby out for a stroll in the winter months much.
So, instead of getting something so expensive and bulky...I'm going with the Universal for trips to the mall and other things like that. By the time I'm ready to take the baby out in a stroller, he/she will fit in the lightweight one.

Yes, I've used mine twice so far. I'm not sure if mine's a bit lighter than yours, because I have the literider system, but mine's surprisingly light and easy to use. I love it.

Re: Question about travel system vs. Stroller
I used the Graco Metrolite Travel System...the stroller part is only 8 pounds and super easy to fold up.
I like that it is a stroller and not just a car seat holder, b/c my little guy was so big that he wouldn't have used the snap and go for very long
