i say go with the webkinz.. a birthday party i went to over the weekend was for a 5 year old girl and she got barbie, a ty doll, a webkinz, some baby stuff, makeup, .... her favorite was the webkinz.

My best friends daughter loves arts and crafts projects and puzzles, you can never have too many of those types of things.
She also just got her this make your own flower kit thing, it's very cool...with specially cut papers, stems, etc... she loves it.

How about a first magic kit. I bought one for DS at Target-he LOVED it!

DS got a Leapster. It's a hand-held video game system, but it's by Leapfrog, and there are tons of very educational games you can get for it. Around 4 is when you can start getting the "cool" toys. Things that use their creativity and imagination. Science kits, puzzles, musical instruments, art supplies, etc.

I like this, and the magic set is good too. I don;t know if she would be into webkins.
