39w1d appointment
And I am tight as a drum. NO dilation, NOOO effacement....
So, after considering all my options, we are probably going to induce on Wednesday if Baby P doesn't show up by then. I have a blood clotting disorder and while the Dr says I can go past my due date, he would not want me to go more than a week tops. Well the Drs. on call the days following are not all open to having a Doula present, whereas my OB is. Plus I really like him. But he won't be on call until the FOLLOWING Sunday, too late for me.
Anyway, baby is doing great and apparently is just very comfy - its been in the same place for over a month!! Lots of movement, good amniotic level, wt is 7lbs 3 oz - estimated 7.5 for next week.
He suggested LOBSTER and SHRIMP (they have prostoglandins apparently)and Chinese food, lots of BDing over the weekend -- uh OK!! Sounds good to me!!
I am bummed because I really wanted to try to go naturally, I have a doula esp to be able to labor at home (not going to happen), and the chances I will need a c/s in the end are much greater now.
Oh well...as long as baby is healthy....

Looks like we are going to have to postpone our Friendly's date until after Baby P arrives!

I agree. And JUST because nothing's happening today, doesn't mean tonight, tomorrow or the next won't be different!! You know aty this point, ANYthing is possible... so...

I am doing all I can....I go for acupunture on Tuesday morning, maybe that will help - but yesterday I did acu, and massage, and NOTHING!

Sending labor vibes your way! My doc said BD and walking help move things along. A nurse told me Chinese food.
Either way - have fun trying and make sure to rub your belly as much as you can - it'll be gone before you know it.

Think positive thoughts about a natural, vaginal delivery. It is possible.
A mom at the practice I go to and who used my doula was 2 weeks over due so they had to induce. It was a total success. She had her doula and a drug free natural birth.
I'm thinking lots a positive birthing vibes for you.

I was induced with both of mine and they were both vaginal deliveries. Hopefully things start moving this weekend.

Kara, I totally didn't want to be induced and cried when they told me that was what they were going to do, but it all worked out well....
And can I crash this Friendly's date? DH hates Friendly's and I love it

Awwww...you poor thing. I know how badly you want to go naturally. If he says you could wait a week, maybe you could convince him to hold off until he's on call next?

No action here but I'm a few weeks behind you and I'm already BD to try and get the baby going.
I was induced with DD and had a natural birth (with an Epi)....it's totally not induction=c-section.
