39w appt, a pity party, a crazy dream and a question!
39w appointment. I WAITED TWO HOURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But that has never happened before, so I am just glad this will all be over soon. I am "very" effaced, the baby is in position - just no dilation yet. I cried when I got home, LOL not sure why - just ready to have this baby BUT he started talking about inducing and it made me nervous. I really want to try for a drug free labor and I know I wouldn't be able to do that if I am induced. (He just mentioned it, we wouldn't schedule it until the end of my 41st week - just discouraging).
Pity Party. I am going to be pregnant for the rest of my life. I started teaching iBaby the multiplication tables last night just in case s/he has to go straight into the 3rd grade. I walked every single day of my pregnancy and it doesn't matter because I can't walk NOW because it is so damn humid even after dark. PLUS I gained FOUR POUNDS in a week! I was doing so well and it is all going to poop in these last few weeks.
Crazy Dream. We always joke around that one of my bosses is an alien. She has a daughter but she just cannot relate to other women or pregnancy - everything is about work, its sad really. Anyway, I had a dream that she set up a room for me to pump in but she was so clueless she wanted me to pump NOW, before the baby was born. I told her that could bring on contractions and I wasn't really making milk yet but she was insistent. Well, I woke up SOAKED. I leaked down to my waist! That has never happened before, I usually get two or three dots like once a month!! How crazy is that?!
Here is my question. I went to the doctor yesterday at 39w3d. I have to go for a sonogram and to be monitored at the perinatologist on Tuesday at 40w4d. I don't see my doctor again until NEXT Saturday at 41w1d. Aren't these appointments too spaced out for the end? Shouldn't I be going like twice a week now??

You won't be pg forever I promise!!!!
As far as seeing the doc...there's really no reason to see him other then the times he gave you. There's nothing he can really do at this point. It's all up to baby. That's why due dates are only an estimate. People get really hung up on a specific date and whether they're late or early. The baby has no idea what your due date is or when you ovulated or whatever. He/she is coming out when they're good and ready, or, after 41 weeks-whenever they're evicted!  Just hang in there, honestly, coming from a BTDT, just try and enjoy these last few moments of just being you, and just being you and DH because in a few days your life will never be the same.

Don't worry your baby will b here before you know it. I remember being at the end and just wondering when will this happen..enough already!! Sure enough she came a few days early (I told the dr to roughen me up at my last appt and the next day I started contractions)
However, I had my appointment set up at 40weeks for the sonogram...and my dr said that if i didnt go by then then they will wait a week... they might have given you that appointment at 41 weeks (hopin that you go before then) and maybe induce u right after the appointment??
I never heard of goin twice a week at 40/41 weeks...when you go to the 40 week appointment as the dr..if you have that appointment sat what is the procedure if you don't go on your own?/ Good luck... any day now!!! Come on little one!!!

Yeah, I am a BIG planner so I knew I would have a hard time with the ESTIMATED due date thing. Logically, I knew this whole time that it was just a random date but now that it is here - I am having a hard time accepting that it really means nothing! And I definitely feel better now about the spaced out appointments.
DH and I have lots of plans for this week. We are spending the day together this Friday, I am going to work a half day and then next week we are going to the park every day and bringing breakfast or lunch and WALKING.

I saw the younger doctor and he was way too gentle yesterday. But I didn't know what to say "harder please?"  
I assume that since my 41w appointment is on a Saturday, he will probably have me go in Monday or Tuesday to be induced
I know that it is all up to baby, but I hope that I can go before then!

It sucks, BTDT! Landon was born at 42 weeks. I went into labor on the same day that I was induced (41w5d).
I wouldn't worry about not seeing the doctor. If there are any issues with your sono they would get the doctor and possibly push up your induction date (example, low fluid).

I just get nervous now, I feel like I have to pay attention to the baby's movements a lot more and I am scared that I am going to miss something. . . I haven't been like this in months - not sure why it is coming back now so close to the end!

I have no advice but I just wanted to say that if you went all this time thinking you'll have a natural birth, it's still possible! Maybe you'll have to be induced but you don't have to say yes to an epidural. I'll say a prayer that you go soon!

Thanks! I hope I can still go drug free BUT I heard once they induce you it becomes much much more painful, boo.

Not that I have any reason for thinking this... but I don't think you're going to have to be induced. I think you're going to very suddenly have everything happen all at once, and your baby will be out with two fine pushes before you know it!!!!!!!!!

dont stress. Soem people go to the doctor and theres nothing going on and then that night or the next day the go into labor. At least you are effaced and the babys in position!
You should defineitly get the medela breast pads, if you didnt already. They are washable and were really absorbent

You still have time, I am sure your LO will make an appearance sometime before third grade
It is scary at the end...I am starting to freak out about every scenario and little thing. Your LO will be here very soon and all of this will be a distant memory...hang in there!
Btw, that is CRAZY about your dream...wow!
