Need a recommendation

Last Saturday (Valentines Day) I spent the day home alone while DH was bowling in a tournament & we are supposed to be going out to dinner tomorrow night instead. He says it is my choice. We need to make a quick stop on Larkfield Rd in Northport for him to get measured for a new bowling ball that was ordered (his gift) then we can go wherever. We'll just need to make reservations.

I need some ideas!!!!!!

ETA: Somewhere not too loud would be nice.

ETA: Somewhere with live music - piano maybe or jazz?

Re: Need a recommendation

There are some nice places right on Larkfield Road. Now I have to think of names!!!! One of them is an Italian restaurant not far from the bowling alley, if that is where you are going. We went to Kurofune (sp?) for V-day. If you like Japanese food, it's on Commack Road.

La Villiani
Blue Room

are the only places on Larkfield I'd suggest.

If you're up for sushi there is Nisen on Jericho which is supposed to be good.

Also if you opt for continuing north, you can go to Northport for dinner - or my husband may be cooking.Chat Icon Chat Icon

It doesn't necessarily need to be on Larkfield.

Neither of us are sushi eaters

I haven't been to Northport in a while.....any suggestions there?

Totally love The Blue Room.

1019 Cafe on 25A in Ft Salonga (near Elijah Chruchills) is pretty good Italian (HUGE portions) - nice atmosphere.
(May make DH get take out from there for me tonight!).

Is Larkfield Pasta what is now Mascali (or something like that)? I had a really yummy pasta dish there, big portion, that was even more delicious the next day!

I love Sempre Vivolo in Hauppauge. It's very intimate and the food and service are fantastic. Just be aware that certain nights, men need to wear sports coats.

I'm not sure. I was at the Chase ATM over there the other day and noticed the Mascali sign, but the Larkfield Pasta sign was also there.
