39 w 1d appointment: update
Doctor put me on the machine to see if I was having contractions. Well I was and still have them once in a while in my back. He says they aren't the real thing. I'm not dilated but cervix is short and baby's head is in position and low in pelvis. Doctor predicts this weekend! So crazy the end is near!
Update: my water broke last night and now I'm admitted to the hospital. They won't check me to see if I'm dilated for a couple of hours since they don't want to risk infection. I was told they would check sooner if I'm in so much pain and ask for meds. Wish me good luck. I feel like this is going to be an all day thing!

 woohooo, our due dates are 2 days apart so youre giving me some hope! I think it's smart that they are putting off the checking but I know how anxious you must be to find out if there is any progression with dilation. Hope everything goes smoothly!
