Camera shopping - please help
Well, I've decided I'm going to throw my Cybershot out the window...no matter what I do, I cannot get a pic that isn't either blurry or too dark...I'm done with Sony for cameras
My husband said he will get me a good camera for the holidays.
I have no idea where to begin. I would like a really good camera - even if it's a little bulky. I definitely want digital, but would also like to eventually take some photography classes to learn more about this art...
Please help me. Do you have any suggestions? Price ranges?
Thanks so much!

I highly recommend Berger-Bros if you are looking for a class as well. They have a store in Amityville and Syosett. When you buy a camera from them if you ask they will trow in a Beginner Digital 101 class. They also have a bunch of other classes as well. I bought a D-SLR and got 2 classes. I sent my wife to the 101 class and the other class I will be going to that is a class on my specific camera.
www.berger-bros.com the price range will vary depending if you want Point and Shoot or a D-SLR
I am a big fan of Nikon!

Another Nikon fan. D40/40x is a great beginner camera per my photoclass instructor.
Priceshop B&H, Berger Brothers & Cameta Cameras. B&H will usually win out.
As for classes, the community center in my town gives a great class. It's an 8 (maybe 10?) week course, Monday nights. It's an intro to Digital Photography & focuses on improving photos, getting off the auto button, f-stop, aperture, etc. It was ~$75 for out-of-town residents.
