36 wk appt...
My first internal  is this when they will test for Strep B??

I think it is the strep b test. I should be getting this done next week at almost 37 weeks.

Yes, they usually do the first internal between 36-37 weeks and the strep B test as well.
If it helps, for me, my internals have not bothered me at all and the strep b test was nothing.... just a swab here and there! You'll do fine!

But oh how i am not looking forward to the appt.
In my opinion, the more you build it up in your mind, the more nervous you will be when you go to the doctor. The more nervous you are, the more your body tenses up and the more you feel what the doctor is doing!
When is your 36 week appointment?

So is the internal basically just like a pap test? Or is there more to it?
Because people seem to dread it, but yet I have never had a bad pap experience. So I'm curious.

and the
internal is when they put there hand all the way up you..... my dr, said i feel the head.. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
make sure you pee before hand...

If the baby has dropped, then your doctor will probably feel it. I am 39 weeks and 3 days and as of last week, baby had not dropped and she couldn't feel the baby. Try to relax as much as you can for the appointment because for me, the internals are not bad!

I have my 36 week appointment today. I am also not looking forward to the internal. I am tying not to think about it. The way I see it is it is nothing compared to childbirth.

OH GOD I have strep B test, i nteranl and A PAP ALL IN THE SAME VIST hide me under a rock and before that apt a follow up dental apt ( I AM terrified of the denist) so I will have a great friday .. and just in time to recover over the 3 dat weekend :(

Its not that bad at all...depending on how sore/tight you are down there it might not hurt at all...I just felt a slight discomfort...
