35th St to West Side Highway a good way...
To Chelsea Piers.
You know me I know nothing about the city
Mapquest/Mappoint gave me strange directions but I looked at the map and 35th St looks like a good way.

Just to clarify, you want to take 35th street across town then to the West side highway right?
If that is the case then I might be hesitant to take 35th across town. It is very trafficy with the shopping & MSG & all. You might be better off heading down 2nd avenue (from the tunnel, there will be signes) to 19th & then take 19th across town. Chelsea piers is closer to 19th than to 35th.
I am not an expert though, I just remember trying to get to the West side from Lex & going through midtown was a nightmare.

23rd Street might be a better option -- it is a broader rd with 2 lanes each direction.....
35th has way too much traffic and is always jammed. 34th isn't too bad since it is 2 lanes each way too. But again, lots of traffic. I have a client on 23rd and I always take the tunnel to 2nd Ave, downtown to 23rd and then crosstown...

Thank you very much!!! I just found a great map and 23rd looks like a great way to go.
Now I am just nervous about how to come home
Are there signs to get to 2nd Ave?
I am guessing it is right off the Queens Midtown Tunnel?

To go home- just take 36th street East- the Queens Midtown tunnel entrance is right off 36th Street.
