35+ what make-up do you use?
I'm in DESPERATE need of new make-up. I've been using Bare Minerals because of it's ease, but before I buy more, wanted to see what others are using.
TIA!!!!

Now I only use bb cream. It makes my skin look nice without drying it out. I stopped using powders or mineral makeup because I think over time, the powder dries out the skin making wrinkles more apparent. I use blotting papers for any shine. I've used garnier and dr. Jart

Yep this. Bare Minerals seems to just sink right into my pores and fine lines and makes them more obvious. BB cream is so nice and moist and really perfects adn evens out my skin. If I need more coverage, I just put a little more on- I like that the coverage is buildable without being cakey.
ETA- I want to try a loose powder that I just saw in Ulta- it's by Benefit- they say it's pore and fine line minmizing and it got some great reviews. They say it's better than Mineral Veil by BM When i get around to Ulta I am going to buy it and try it over my BB cream as a setting powder They say it doesnt sink in like most powders

Re: 35+ what make-up do you use?
Sadly, that's what I was thinking was happening with my BM darn lines!
Any recs on places to give a consult for make-up (what to by, how to apply).
I'm make-up challenged! (which is why I've been using the same stuff for years!!)

Re: 35+ what make-up do you use?
I got a sample of this stuff with my last Sephora purchase and OMG, it blew me away. It is called Miracle Skin Transformer & has been featured by Dr. Oz. I usually use MAC with a good primer, but i felt like this stuff truly transformed my skin! Sorry I can't link because I'm on my phone, but it was this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004C6Q962?qid=1365643409&sr=8-1

I started using the BB cream a few months ago because I was having the same problem and I love it! I still use the BM on top just to set it but I use such a small amount of it now. I got the Garnier oil free one. Love it, it's a little thicker than the regular one and I get a little extra coverage.

Re: 35+ what make-up do you use?
I'm in the same boat as you. I'm 39, I only use a loose powder on my skin & was using Bare Minerals but want to change, too. I wear a lot of eye makeup, but i don't do much to my face, not because i don't need to, just don't know what to do I feel like the cream foundations or tinted moisturizers are just too much, but the loose powder is too little, i need an in between!

Re: 35+ what make-up do you use?
Funny you say this because I used to use Bare Minerals and then stopped but recently been loving their stuff again. Since hitting 35, I haven't changed my makeup (I like to try all different brands and products) but I am now using a moisturizer and eye cream daily.

I'm not EXACTLY 35 yet...... But L'Oreal Youth Code BB Cream is my favorite -
It used to be the Garnier, but the Youth Code is lighter and looks even more natural ......

I use Miischa perfect cover BB cream, and then some BM mineral veil over that. Benefit fake up is a great concealer because it doesn't crease into your fine lines.

Re: 35+ what make-up do you use?
Can someone explain to me what BB cream is and how the consistency compares between a liquidy tinted moisturizer and thick foundation?
I have an oily/red T and so far Rimmel Lasting Finish foundation has been the best for that. I just use a tiny bit of powder on my T, also Rimmel, Stay Matte.
I barely need the powder but it's lighter than the foundation so it kind of evens out my skin to look more natural.
Also - are you putting on foundation with a soft brush? A friend told me she started doing that and I think it looks so much better this way.
I wish my pores were minimized more but I just got my samples of GlamGlow that I'm using this weekend, so who knows that might be the answer. (fingers crossed)

Re: 35+ what make-up do you use?
I am 44 and still use bare minerals over powder and concealer in the warmer months and actually most of the winter too..
If I am going to dinner or a special event then I use cream foundation Maybelline FIT or the revlon whipped

It's like a tinted moisturizer w more coverage. Not thick , and I feel like my skin looks much better. I was never into makeup on my face bc I feel like it ages the skin. Try it out! I've used garnier, but I like dr. Jart better

exactly this. It is really the only thing I can wear that doesn't just accentuate my pores and fine lines. I have tried a ton of foundations lately and they all just sit in my pores and draw attention to them When I put on a BB cream it just perfects my skin. It's really a miracle for me I love the Garnier- I have both the regular and the oil free and I like them both equally -I think I will really like the oil free in the warmer months because my skin tends to be oily in summer.

Re: 35+ what make-up do you use?
How does the BB cream work? I'm so intimidated by foundation creams, because I don't want some horribly looking mask with lines showing where it stops. Is it light & just blends?
Any recs on a place that can assist?
TIA!

I use Garnier oil-free BB cream as well. It's only been about a month but I am loving it. I tried the non-oil free in the past I didn't like because it made my skin oily.

Re: 35+ what make-up do you use?
Thank you girls for the BB recs. I purchased one by Loreal & it's so easy to apply.
Should I use a powder on top to set? And if so, any recs?
Also, do you use any moisturizer under?
TIA!!!

Re: 35+ what make-up do you use?
Almost 35, and I use a tinted moisturizer. Anything heavier and it settles into my fine lines. I also use a cream blush. If I get too shiny, I use a light translucent powder on my t-zone.
