What products will you have on or near the changing table?

I need to get all of the diaper changing necessities. Other than diapers and wipes, I'm not sure what I need and which products to buy.

What products will you have on or near the changing area? How will you store them (basket, drawer, etc)? If you have more than one floor in your home, will you buy two sets of cream, etc?

Re: What products will you have on or near the changing table?

we plan on buying two sets and maybe keeping each in a basket in a drawer or on a shelf where the changing table is... it's easier than running up and down the stairs. Probably have two sets just in the begining. I like the idea of keeping it all in a basket... I think you'll need wipes, diapers, baby powder, desatin (or that diaper rash cream), any clothes and of course the baby genie next to it... probaby the baby genie upstairs only

we'll have the changing table upstairs in the baby's room and use the pac and play downstairs in the den or guest room.

The plan right now is to always change the baby upstairs on the changing table, I'm just not a fan of doing it on the couch, table etc... but we'll see how that goes after the baby is here, I can see going upstairs getting old quicklyChat Icon

Right now I plan to have a basket with diapers, wipes, ointment and lotion.

we have a basket on the table with diapers, wipes, petrolium jelly, aquaphor, lotion, hair brush, stain spary, and a wash cloth or burp cloth. We had rubbing alcohol and q tips for the first week or so until the umbilical cord stump fell off. In another basket in reach are: baggies for dirty diapers, nail clippers, a couple small toys, q tips, nail file. I think that is it!

I have a basket with her diapers, Desitin, Boudreaux's Butt Paste, baby oil, baby lotion, small toy to keep her busy, baby wipes, Vaseline, alcohol, and Purel to clean my hands quick if they get a little messy during a diaper change. The things I use daily are the Butt Paste, diapers, wipes, and Purel. Chat Icon In her top drawer I have all her grooming supplies (nail clippers, brushes, combs) and her thermometer, Q-tips, cotton balls, etc.

You shouldn't use baby powder on infants. The "dust" can get into their lungs. Use cornstarch instead.

In my LR I have her pack n play along the side of that I have a storage net with diapers, wipes, desitin and some vaseline.

Upstairs in her room, we have the changing table w/ a contured changing pad and to the side of that is diapers, the wipe warmer, and in a pink basket is desitin, a nasal aspirator, nail clippers, q-tips & vaseline. Free standing is a bottle of purell and baby lotion.

Good question! This is what we've thought of so far...
diapers
wipes
butt paste/creams
powders you may need

I'll probably have cute little storage baskets on top of the dresser.

Re: What products will you have on or near the changing table?

I'll tell you what I use regularly....

bags for poopie diapers (they go directly into the household trash...no diaper genie here)
diapers
vaseline
burt's bee's diaper lotion (if rash erupts)
kleenex (to prevent little boy sprays)
wipes
papertowels

we use papertowels under his toosh so we don't rocket through millions of changing table covers.

we haven't used anything else. all of the grooming / healthcare stuff is kept with his bath stuff in the bathroom.

I have a small basket on my changing table. It has a few diapers in it, Triple Paste, and baby powder. I have the container of wipes next to the basket. All of the other supplies (q-tips, lotions, etc) are in a drawer in my Ikea thingy.
