I say yes, it's insane. But, that's because I felt like utter shit when I was 34 weeks.
I guess it depends on how you feel.

34 weeks and concert?

My sister went to a broadway play at 37.5 weeks - everyone though she was crazy, but we had a great time! (and we got to cut the reduced tickets line!!)

34 weeks and concert?

Is it standing room only?
Will you be close to the speakers?
Will there be smoking inside?
How do you feel now...are you close to 34 weeks?
Will it be crowded and could you get pushed?
Would you only go for a little bit?

Think about all those things but for me I def wouldn't have.

these are great questions to ask yourself. I went to a wedding at 34 weeks and I'm glad I went. but I'm also glad that I could sit whenever I wanted, not a ton of pressure to be dancing and DH was totally on my schedule, meaning when I was ready to pull the plug, we were out of there. sure, I ended up with pre-labor contractions two days later Chat Icon but it was still a lot if fun. either way, stay hydrated!!

This.

For me, personally, I would not have been comfortable at a concert at 34 weeks - particularly where people are up and dancing, where there is loud music, etc. Plus, I was peeing like every half hour so the idea of spending half the concert in a bathroom is unappealing.

HOWEVER, if this was like a symphony "concert" I'd have been ok with going.

I say go for it!!!
With my 1st DC I went to a Knicks game at the garden when i was 37 weeks. I actually had to be induced after my due date.
DC #2 I went to Canada at 37 weeks by car. And went to a concert at 39 weeks out east in the middle of summer outside in the sun. Didn't go into labor early either.
As long as you take it easy, you will be just fine!

For me, it would depends on the kind of concert. Is it low key like Jason Mraz/Adele/John Mayer or more upbeat like lots of screaming and loud beats? Also, how close are you to the speaker?

Re: 34 weeks and concert?

If you'll have a seat and not just standing room I'd go, but I also felt relatively great with both pregnancies at 34 weeks.

Re: 34 weeks and concert?

No. I did that too. I might have been even further along. I went to Flamping Lips at Jones Beach and it was pouring rain. It was crazy, but fun.
