Lexie 9/10
My contractions started on Tuesday night about 9pm. They were strong enough that I couldn't really sleep at all that night. I went to the doctor on Wed morning to be checked and see if I was really in labor. I was 3cm and 90% effaced so they sent me over to labor and delivery. Got to the hospital at 1pm and by the time I got there about 15 min later I was 4cm. They broke my water and started me on Pitocin. About 2 hours later the contractions were REALLY strong and so I had an epidural. SO NICE! From there I labored until about 7pm and then I started pushing. Pushing is really hard work, more so than I expected. At 8:59 Lexie Lynn came into the world. She was 7lbs 6oz, 21 inches long. I had to have an episiotmy, which I trust my Dr. and trust that she felt it was necessary. Overall I had a great experience. You forget the pain as soon as its over, at least I did. Recovery has been fine. Winthrop was ok. I had a private room so that was nice. The only thing I didn't like was that I am BF exclusivly and didn't find the staff to be too supportive.
Overall I am totally in love with my little girl.
